Healthy Habits
While we don't believe you need to become a completely new version of yourself just because the calendar turned over to a new year, it certainly isn't a bad time to press reset on your healthy-habits goals, and we have a few easy ones in mind. Most of these suggestions are obvious, but a gentle reminder that your body needs water and a break from the chaos of daily life doesn't hurt. And if you need a little something to assist in all this habit-building, we've got adorable athleticwear, analog items, water bottles, and beyond.
Drink Water
Apparently, drinking water is good for you. Carrying around an emotional-support water bottle is also good for you in a different way.
Move Your Body
Two years ago, everyone was into Pilates. Last year, we all ChatGPT'd our workout plans. This year? Rather than subscribings to any fitness fads or needing the latest in wearable health trackers, we're just committing to moving around a bit. Consider bringing back your pandemic-era Hot Girl Walk™ or trying some meditative tai chi. The goal is to get centered—and if you break a sweat, that's just a bonus.
Stop the Screens
The irony of us recommending that you lay off the screen time while you read this on a screen is not lost on us, but we're here to tout the benefits nonetheless. Many people have declared 2026 the year we return to analog activities, which sounds so refreshing even in small doses. Read a physical book, listen to a vinyl record, put together a puzzle, write your friend a real letter...whatever you can think of that tunes out tech.
Give Yourself a Break
Take a vacation. Shake off that embarrassing thing you felt like you did (but no one actually noticed or thought of ever again). Forgive yourself for a missed deadline. Move to a monastery and take a vow of silence. Whatever it is, the healthiest habit we can think of is to show yourself compassion and have a little treat here and there. You've earned it. We all have.
