My most prized fashion items all come from my grandmothers, Nancy and Evelyn. While not many of their clothes remain, I’ve been lucky enough to be gifted lots of jewelry and vintage furs from them. Most notably, a gold charm bracelet that Nancy wore throughout the '50s and '60s. Each charm was selected by my grandfather and gifted to her on anniversaries, birthdays, and Christmases—making it extremely sentimental and personal to my family. Whenever I wear it, I’m reminded of their love and find so much joy in the tinkling sounds it makes.

One of my most loved items in my wardrobe is a Comme des Garçons and H&M shirt that I purchased at a local thrift store. I remember growing up (back when designer collabs were less frequent), I was never able to purchase the H&M collab collectsion. Having the chance to buy the shirt at a fair price was so exciting.

Almost a decade ago, I was on a trip to Victoria, B.C., with two of my best girlfriends. We stayed in the Fairmont Empress, a historic (and definitely haunted) hotel, and spent the weekend eating, drinking, riding bikes around town, and shopping. One afternoon, we popped into this incredible thrift store, and almost immediately, one of my friends pulled out this gorgeous vintage blanket coat from the ’80s. I was so bummed she discovered it first, but finders keepers. She bought it, brought it back to the hotel, and probably saw the intense longing on my face because she decided I could have it. Bless her. To this day, it receives more compliments than anything else I own.

My Vagabond loafers are such a staple in my wardrobe that they feel like an extension of my personal style. I remember wearing them for the first time on a trip to Boston in 2022 with my sister and feeling so like myself. They’re chic, supportive, and just the right amount of chunky—not to mention, pairing them with a fun sock is such a seamless way to switch up the look and add a touch of personality. I’ve worn them down so much over the last few years, but I would happily take them to the cobbler and repurchase them time and time again.

I have no plans to part with a sundress from Matteau. I love it because it’s effortless but always makes me feel put together with minimal thought. The cut is just right, the length, the straps, and it has pockets, which seals the deal. It’s cotton, easy to wash and made for repeat wear. I can dress it up with metallic sandals, jewelry, and a sweater tied around my neck for when it cools off in the evening, or wear it casually over a bathing suit with flip-flops. It’s the first thing I reach for when the weather’s nice. It travels everywhere with me because it works in almost any situation without trying too hard.
