The beachwear designed by the most important fashion brands exalts the female beauty and the tanned skin tone with combinations of flashy colors, fancy prints and luxurious details to match with the more glamour beach accessories to create the perfect outfit.

Bikini rediscovers its more romantic spirit

With the arrival of the summer we always look for something cool and delicate, so the fashion designers have created for the spring summer 2024 a rich floral bouquet, represented by tender patterns of flowers and refined laces that decorate the bikinis with a touch of romanticism. Floral prints or applications of 3D flower are the latest trend of beachwear, as Dolce & Gabbana well know, who use them to decorate with sweetness and fun the triangles or the draped models perfect for a Diva’s look, especially if combined with the big sunglasses. Johanna Ortiz proposes prints that recall lush gardens on exuberant mono-sleeves two-pieces decorated by flounces, while Peony and Zimmermann give a Provence-style touch to the small flowers printed on underwire or bandeau bikini tops. The most delicate lace, usually destined to female lingerie, now decors with a pinch of sensuality the bikinis by Alberta Ferretti and Ermanno Scervino, while the eyelet version is proposed by Michael Kors for the underwired models.

As for the one-pieces, also for the bikinis the new trends for the summer 2024 are inspired by the Fifties, with high-waist bottoms, hot pants, boy-short or skirted lines that fit for every silhouette, emphasizing in particular the sensuality of curvy women:

Ethnic or Seventies-style flowers: the bikini is very colorful

Searching for inspiration for their creations the trendiest fashion designers rediscover the beautiful and colorful tapestry effect floral prints of the 70s, seen practically everywhere on the catwalks of the international capitals of fashion and in particular in the runways of Etro, Emilio Pucci, Jacquemus and Mara Hoffman. With the low-waist hipster bottoms, Peter Pilotto designs also twisted bandeau with halter shoulder straps, while La DoubleJ combines the tie side bottom with a high neckline top, always with the floral pattern typical of the Seventies. Fisico and Pierre Mantoux are inspired by the East for the refined prints that mix bold colors to the intricate arabesque patterns, perfect to be matched with the sandals or the flip-flops. Very particular are also the two-pieces with precious tile-effect prints of Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana and Oscar De La Renta, that could be worn with big sunglasses and comfy cover-ups for a funny boat trip or a journey in some beautiful seaside resort. Always speaking about patterns, the animal print is a very strong trend. At Gucci and Agent Provocateur the spotted print is interpreted in a Pop version with neon colors, while we find the classic and always elegant leopard pattern or the python print in the collectsions of Melissa Odabash, Mara Hoffman, Moschino and Stella McCartney.

Seductive or sporty, the triangles are always fashionable

For the early season’s shopping one of the most beloved item for the women is surely the triangle bikini, that in the summer 2024 has thousand variations of shades, both printed or in plain color. Whether it’s padded to emphasize the bust or that is simple with thin shoulder straps, this model of top could be matched with many types of bottoms, like the tie side, the hot pant, the Brazilian or the thong. Sportmax makes one crochet model with a striped motif, while Maria Enrica Nardi gives free reign to her fantasy with psychedelic effect multicolored prints. Checked pattern, usually used for clothing, becomes the leitmotiv of the beachwear collectsions of Burberry and Maison Lejaby.
