    Idli Design is the store of one of my closest friends, located in the little French community of Jaipur. He sells beautiful lamps, furniture, and fashion. I always buy some of his bright printed skirts when I visit.

    The Narain Niwas Palace is one of the nicest hotels in Jaipur. I am fond of the swimming pool surrounded by green gardens. There are also many birds on the property including peacocks, one of which you see here behind my daughter, Scherazade.

    Walking through Central Park in Jaipur is magical because you stroll through walls of flowers. This park is also where we come to watch polo games at the Rajasthan Polo Club.

    Bar Palladio is one of my favorite places to drink and dine in Jaipur. The very talented designer Marie-Anne Oudejans decorated the space. I’d move in if I could.

    The Gem Palace in Jaipur is a dream place if you love jewelry. I always see the most amazing precious stones, and I am very fond of the creations by jeweler Munnu Kasliwal and his son Siddharth.
