Like many millennials, Princess Beatrice has tried out different internships in several fields. She worked at an investment capital firm in London for one summer before deciding to give movies a go and landed a job at Sony Pictures as a coordinating producer. Princess Beatrice quit earlier this year (perhaps in response to her salary being leaked during the Sony hacks), and she has now moved to New York City to complete a finance course.

Not all princesses of York are the same, however; Princess Eugenie has held a job at Paddle8, an online auction house based in New York City, since January 2014. She’s currently Paddle8’s benefit auctions manager.

Before she was the Princess of Spain, Queen Letizia worked as a journalist for Spanish and Mexican newspapers and later became a news anchor for various networks—Bloomberg, CNN, and TVE—covering the attacks of September 11 and the Iraq War. Letizia stepped down from her role as an evening news anchor once she announced her engagement to Prince Phillip in 2003.

Even though she graduated with a degree in art history, Kate Middleton’s first job out of college was a short-lived stint as an accessories buyer for British department store Jigsaw. Maybe that experience has something to do with her preference for mixing High Street with high fashion?

Another Big Apple transplant, Princess Madeleine of Sweden decided to move to New York City after breaking off her engagement with her long-term boyfriend in 2010. It was there that she eventually met her future husband, financier Christopher O’Neill, while she was working as a project administrator for the World Childhood Foundation.

Before becoming Princess of Monaco, the South African wife of Prince Albert was a competitive swimmer and even competed in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. While she’s now retired from sports, she currently serves as a global ambassador for the Special Olympics.

A real-life Cinderella story: Argentine-native Queen Maxima of The Netherlands met Prince Willem-Alexander during her banker days at New York City investment firm Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. Once they were engaged, she eventually quit her job and became Europe’s first Latin-American princess.

As a mother of five children, it’s no surprise Marie-Chantal founded an eponymous children’s wear line. The adorable brand has stores in London, Guam, and Hawaii, and is also sold at Barneys and Saks Fifth Avenue.

While Prince William has already settled on a career, it seems his younger brother, Harry, hasn’t yet found his calling. In June, he’ll be ending his ten-year career in the British military and has expressed his lack of interest in dedicating himself to royal duties. Let the job hunt begin.
