An Unapologetically Pink Affair Welcomed LoveShackFancy’s Latest Home Collection 

There’s no mistaking a LoveShackFancy affair, and Friday night in Sagaponack was no exception. Parked in the driveway of founder Rebecca Hessel-Cohen’s seaside home were not one but two beach-ready automobiles—a vintage white Mercedes 280SL convertible and a pink Moke cruiser—both overflowing with fanciful floral textiles. These were just a small taste of the brand’s first collectsion of bedding and wallpaper, which launches online and in-store today. 

Inside, the unapologetically pink decor continued in every imaginable form—table runners, charger plates, party crackers, floral arrangements by Missi Flowers, a seemingly endless supply of bows, and yes, even Cohen’s ensemble for the evening—came in the evening’s signature hue. “I call it matchimalistic style,” Cohen quipped to Vogue during cocktails. “So you’ll see the same pattern on my dress, my daughters’ dresses, my husband’s sweatshirt, the pink printed bow barrettes at each place setting. It’s everywhere, and I couldn’t love it more.” 

Joining her were a slew of LoveShackFancy obsessives like Casey Fremont, and Lili Buffet, who sported a white lace gown. “It’s feminine and elegant and light, and feels like it may have come from the Victorian era,” Buffet said of her look. “I think I’m going to rewear it for my 10th anniversary later this month.” Also out in full force were fellow brand founders showing their support, including Mrs. Alice’s Alice Naylor-Leyland, MG Stones’ Mollie Acquavella and Grace Givens, La Ligne’s Valerie Macauley, and DADA Daily’s Claire Olshan. “There’s nothing I love more than supporting people who create beautiful settings full of pure warmth, joy, and entertainment,” Olshan mused before guests took their seats beneath the trees, dotted with antique chandeliers. “As a founder myself who focuses on entertaining, Rebecca is always the consummate hostess, so I couldn’t be more proud of her for launching this collectsion.”

“Rebecca has built the most wonderful world filled with love, beauty, and joie de vivre, which we could all use a little bit more of in our lives right now and the evening did not disappoint,” said Macauley.

Local catering concept Little Gem served up a selection of summer favorites like zucchini and summer squash ribbons with shaved pecorino and rainbow beet terrine with chevre and thyme. Chef Stephanie Nass provided a sweet treat to end the evening in the form of miniature floral-printed cakes. “In the last year and a half, the brand has launched so much—bridal, tabletop, a new storefront, and now bedding and wallpaper—but we haven’t been able to come together to celebrate,” Cohen said as guests enjoyed a nightcap by a roaring bonfire. “Being at home, by candlelight, flowers everywhere, surrounded by friends, is such a beautiful sensory overload. I feel so lucky to finally be together with everyone, making these exquisite memories.”
