From full Chrome Hearts getups to backless Haider Ackermann tops, Timothée Chalamet is no stranger to fashion risks. This evening on the 2026 Oscars Red Carpet, the Marty Supreme actor arrived in a custom all-white double-breasted suit designed by Sarah Burton at Givenchy.
This silhouette has become a common occurrence for Chalamet this awards season. But it’s his accessory choices—which included white boots, goatee, and tiny sunglasses—that have him veering into Backstreet Boys from the Millennium days territory. It should be noted that the monochrome palette may also be a subtle nod to the color of regulation ping pong balls. (Without giving away too many spoilers, the white ping pong balls are a point of contention in Marty’s quest for excellence.)
Chalamet isn’t the only nominee stepping out in Sarah Burton’s Givenchy this evening. Elle Fanning, who is nominated for her role in Sentimental Value, also arrived on the red carpet in an embroidered white gown, which paid subtle homage to her childhood home. Both she and Chalamet also wore Sarah Burton’s Givenchy to the 2025 Oscars as well—in fact, they soft-launched the designer’s vision prior to her debut runway.
Though he walked the carpet alone, the Oscar-nominated actor is in attendance with his partner, Kylie Jenner. Jenner also pulled off somewhat of an outfit repeat, sporting a custom corseted Schiaparelli look, reminiscent of the keyhole cutout dress she wore to the brand’s runway in 2023. Hopefully, the familiar looks bring good luck to the nominees!
