Yesterday’s solar eclipse proved to be a fashion opportunity for Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford.
The mother-daughter duo left The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon just in time to see the celestial event. Gerber, in particular, seemed excited for the ultra-rare moment, toting a pair of blue paper eclipse glasses from Warby Parker. Safety first, after all!
The two opted for outfits on the grayscale. Gerber wore a light gray long-sleeve with a charcoal gray midi slip skirt and white open-toed mules. She accessorized with a gold watch and—for a pop of color—her eclipse glasses.
Crawford, on the other hand, chose to wear all black. (Perhaps taking sartorial inspiration from the path of totality?) She wore a business-like, yet feminine ensemble: a black blazer—cinched at the waist—with a black, flouncy-hem midi skirt, tall leather boots, and a coordinating handbag. She, like her daughter, kept accessories to a minimum, wearing only her go-to gold coin necklace.
While both Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford are stars in our eyes, it was exciting to see the literal stars align yesterday. Clearly they thought so, too.
