Dangling off Wilson’s bag are not one, not two, but three Labubus, one fully decked out in the athlete’s Nike collectsion A’One. “I didn’t fall for the trend at all, lovely fans got me these,” she tells Vogue. And Wilson isn’t gatekeeping her beauty secrets; the next thing she pulls out of her bag is her brow kit, saying, “I try to at least make sure that my brows and edges are intact, because that’s the first thing people really look at…I never wanted to lose the beauty of being a woman and a girl that can still hoop and still crush it on court.”
What’s the most precious and meaningful item in Wilson’s bag? Easy—either her Alpha Kappa Alpha lanyard or her beloved late grandmother’s coin purse, which Wilson thinks of as “a reminder that she’s constantly with me. I don’t put coins in it because my heart’s in it.”
