With a slate of projects ranging from Mother Mary and The Devil Wears Prada 2 to Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey, audiences will be seeing the actor a lot on the big screen for the better part of 2026. Last weekend, she let us in on a little secret when it comes to red-carpet glam.
Hathaway and hairstylist Orlando Pita shared a behind-the-scenes video posted on her Instagram, highlighting everything it took to get her Oscars-ready. (In case you missed it, she was named one of the best-dressed stars of the night, and she had a charming onstage moment with none other than Vogue global editorial director Anna Wintour.)

While creating Hathaway’s sleek half-up, half-down do, Pita formed a short braid (only about an inch long) with a small section of hair near each temple before securing it with an elastic and pulling both to the back of her head.
“And you look a little bit more awake,” Hathaway said with a laugh. “That’s the trick.”
