These Shoes are Made for Walkin'

A sensible, stylish shoe (not a sneaker!) that you can walk for miles in is something of a fashion holy grail. As someone who travels a third of the year, stomping over cobblestones and city streets for a minimum of 10k steps per day, it's actually a lifelong mission of mine to find the best cute walking shoe. Personally, I don't leave home without my Alohas Sway Ballet Flats, which, though they lack any form of arch support, are extremely comfortable and versatile with any number of outfits.

Though I haven't walked a mile in every pair below, these loafers, flats, sandals, and mules are all designed for comfort with features like padded footbeds, arch support, and/or soft materials that mold to your feet. My top travel tip before you pack any new shoes for a steps-heavy summer holiday: wear them on a week's worth of hot girl walks around your neighborhood.
