Aloha! TWP has normal US sizing! The waist measurements are approximately 13.5in across for the size 0 and 14in across for the size 2! Our model is typically a size 0 & size 24 waist and is pictured wearing the size 0! Please let us know if you have any other questions!

For a size 8, I would recommend the L-- it will be a slightly oversized fit, but will fit more comfortably than the S, which would be a bit snug, and more ideal for a fitted look. I hope this helps!
