If your true waist is a size 30 go with the size 30 as they shrink about 2% but measure around a full inch bigger than the tagged size.

I just received my 36 / 32 that I ordered on 14th May. There is no way these fit me - looks like a 32 / 32. Is it possible these are wrongly labelled?

I just measured the 36 /32 that we have in the store and they measure correctly. I assume the tag on the waist of the pants you received says 36/32. I suggest measuring them. They do run small and are a higher rise cut but I have not come across any that were labeled incorrectly.
Hi, what is the fit difference between these pants, the ones labeled "gender neutral" and the ones that just list waist size not length? Also curious your suggestion for size, i have a 29.5 waist so I'm assuming i should get a size 30 (im a 28 in womens modern pants). Thanks!

There is no difference between the pairs of pants listed, all are gender neutral in size and fit. As far as sizing goes, it depends on how you like your pants to fit. I have found that they fit pretty true to your typical size - if you like a snugger fit. For example, I am a woman who wears a size 27, and the size 27 works great for me in that it fits my waist and hips. When you size up, they often fit wider in the leg and might have to be taken in at the waist slightly or worn with a belt.

The size 29 waist measures approximately 15 1/2” across and hip is approximately 21” across.
We are currently out of size 30 waist.
The size 31 waist measures approximately 17” across and hip is approximately 22” across.
