Here are the cleaning instructions: General: Regular vacuuming (for hand tufted rugs no less than once per week) is essential to maintaining the condition of the rug, eliminating shed fibers, and deterring moths. If you have access to a suitable outdoor area you may first wish to bring outside and shake or beat thoroughly to remove loose dirt or debris. We recommend using a rug pad with all our rugs. Rugs left in direct sunlight will fade over time. Cleaning your Rug: Vacuum first to remove any debris Spills: lightly blot (never rub) with a damp cloth or paper towel. For heavy spills, spoon up excess liquid before blotting with a clean, dry towel. Stains: spot clean with water and a mild detergent or a water/vinegar mixture - we also recommend Folex - then blot dry. Do not use too much water, or allow the rug to remain wet. But please be sure to test any cleaning agent on a small section of your rug first, as different soaps and cleaning products can react in different ways with the various yarn colors. Smelly stains: treat as above, but add vinegar to your water/detergent mix.
