HI I'm a narrow 8.5 and I took the 39. however they are cut on the wider side. I love them but they have a bit of a looseness to the feel of them. with socks that goes away.

Hi Holly, Thanks for reaching out! The Everyday Boot is not a 'waterproof' boot but it is fine for walking in light to moderate rainy conditions. It is not designed for splashing in puddles or hiking muddy trails. We are located in the Pacific Northwest and the boots work great for the type of rainy conditions we have here. If the boots do get excessively wet or muddy, they are easily repaired and brought back to life. Check out our instagrams story highlights under the 'restore' icon for more info. Hi, Thanks for reaching out! The heel height is 3/4" and both the heel and sole are 100% leather. There is a little padding added between the insole and outsole for comfort.
