The competition takes place over a five-day span in which yacht enthusiasts sail the coastal waters of the Mediterranean in a regatta or compete in match races against other crews. For eight years in a row, Officine Panerai has sponsored this event\u2014the largest international circuit of regattas for classic yachts.<\/p>\n<p>Yachts are divided into four categories: Vintage Yachts, Classic Yachts, Metric Classes (which is reserved for former yachts in the Olympics cup) and Spirit of Tradition, modern yachts built along classic lines.
