Thigh high boots aka over the knee boots or OTK boots are back in style in a big way for Fall Winter 2026. They were all over the Fall Winter fashion shows from Bottega Veneta to Dolce & Gabbana and continue to be in style for Fall Winter 2026. I’ve worn my black suede thigh high boots on repeat every Winter for the last decade and they finally needed replacing. Since I was hunting them down for myself I figured I’d share the top 40 thigh high boots in both neutrals, colors and black that made my shortlist and the ones that ended up making their way into my closet. In the past I’ve had everything from designer thigh high boots from Louboutin to super affordable styles from JustFab. I’ve also included some petite and plus size thigh high boots as the calf sizes and boot length can vary a lot on them and black leather over the knee boots don’t give as much as suede or fabric versions. These are the thigh high boots or OTK boots for 2026 that made my shortlist. I ordered 4 pairs of over the knee boots a couple of years ago to choose between, see the video below but am ready for some new ones in 2026 once the New Year sales start.<\/p>\n\n\n

Thigh high boots are one of those styles I wear them so much I know they’ll get their CPW (as you can tell from all of my pics) but it’s still a big chunk of change. Which is why I tried a lot more affordable brands this year to see how they compared to designer over the knee boots.<\/p>\n\n\n

One of the most important factors to consider when choosing the best over-the-knee boot for you is all about the materials. Try to look for structured leather rather than slouchy styles. That way they will hold their shape and stay up vs falling down all of the time. Although getting a good fit through your ankles, calves and knees is important too. One so that they stay up and two so that you don’t look like Puss in Boots.<\/p>\n\n\n

Proof that you don’t necessarily need to splurge on designer boots, unless you find a pair you absolutely love.<\/p>\n\n\n

The ASOS Design Koko heeled black suede stiletto boots are the ones I kept but since they’re sold out I’m on the hunt for a new black pair to share with you for Winter 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n

Cream over the knee boots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This year, I’ve added cream\/ivory over the knee boots to my boot collectsion. This pair from Larroude<\/a> are ivory leather so they’re easier to keep clean than suede and have had a lot more wear than I thought. They’re on sale with 50% off and also come in burgundy, light denim blue, or trending brown if you’re not looking for a cream pair.<\/p>\n\n\n

A few of the features I like about the cream Larroude Kate High boots is that they’re a pull on style. Which makes getting them on and off easy. The other thing is their pointy toe and stiletto heel which makes them a timeless style that won’t date. Oh and did I mention they’re now on sale with 50% off! <\/p>\n\n\n

Shop the best thigh high boots 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I tend to go for suede rather than leather thigh high or black over the knee boots as I think they look a bit more elegant and it rarely rains in Vegas so they’re pretty safe. To be extra safe, I spray them with a water and stain protector. Ugg<\/a>s make a pretty good one. However, suede does tend to go slouchier faster than leather. For the most in style thigh high boots for 2026 go for brown suede. <\/p>\n\n\n
