The Biggest Hauls in Grammy History: Beyoncé, Kanye West, and Other Record Breakers Inline
Photos: Getty Images1/8Beyoncé and Adele are the women who have won the most Grammy awards in one night. Beyoncé snagged six for her album I Am . . . Sasha Fierce in 2010, while Adele matched that number in 2012 for her second studio album, 21. With 53 in total, Beyoncé also has the honor of being the female artist with the most nominations in the history of the awards.

She was the category’s first winner back when it was created in 1968, and then went on to triumph in that same category eight times in a row. Anita Baker comes in second place, with five Best Female R&B Vocal Performance awards.

She went on to pick up five Grammys, breaking the record for most wins by a woman in a single night. Most notably, Hill became the only hip-hop artist to win Album of the Year, a distinction she held until OutKast won for Speakerboxxx/The Love Below in 2004.

Although, that didn’t stop him from becoming famously irritated when Yeezus did not score an Album of the Year nod in 2013. Maybe the Grammys will make it up to him at this Sunday’s ceremony by giving Kanye wins for both of his nominations?
