It’s impossible to deny the glamour and gravitas of a Vera Wang wedding dress. Ever since the Vogue alum made a dress for her own wedding in 1989, she shifted her career into bridal and began producing the most covetable gowns over the last three decades. Since launching her own bridal shop in the ’90s, Wang has expanded her empire to include ready-to-wear, beauty, and fragrance.
Celebrity brides like Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani, Victoria Beckham, and Issa Rae have chose to wear the designer’s gowns for their own wedding day—and even Charlotte York on Sex and the City made a visit to the famed salon for her first wedding gown. It’s no surprise that with her creative and talented vision, many brides that have been featured in Vogue select to wear the designer’s creations for their walks down the aisle, too.
In honor of the designer’s 76th birthday this past Friday, ahead, see all the amazing Vera Wang gowns that have been featured over the years on Vogue brides.
