When they staged their first-ever runway show for The Attico in September Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio came out for their bows arm-in-arm and in matching jeans. But for their Christmas holidays, they went in separate directions: Tordini opting for the wilds of New Zealand, and Ambrosio for New Year’s Eve in Rio de Janeiro via friends and family visits in Rome and Naples. Back in Milan, where they’sre prepping their fall 2024 collectsion, they shared their vacation diaries.

New Zealand is definitely the farthest I’ve ever been. This was one of the reasons why I was very excited to go, it sounded very exotic to me. I went obviously for nature; from pictures the landscapes looked outstanding, so peaceful, and so remote. When I have the chance to take big trips, I tend to go to quiet and isolated places. It is the only way for me to detach from my work and social life and life in the city. I must say I nailed it.
I landed in Auckland and from there I drove south to the southern island to Queenstown. I traveled for 10 days in total.
