Taylor Swift told Rolling Stone in 2014 that she knows all the words to Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle” and that the song is her go-to mood elevator. She posted a flurry of tweets when he released his album last month including the all-caps message, “KENDRICK PUT HIS ALBUM OUT EARLY. NO ONE TOUCH ME.”

After their apparent feud-ending meal at New York City’s Spotted Pig, it was rumored that Kanye was going to head to the studio with Taylor. If these two could let each other finish, they could create a remix that could win the coveted song of the summer title.

This unlikely pair actually goes way back. In 2011, Swift brought out Nicki Minaj for a surprise performance of “Super Bass” for the Los Angeles finale of her Speak Now world tour. To get a cosign from Minaj would be a huge win for Swift, and getting a spot in Swift’s all-female friend group would be nice for Minaj, too.

The perpetually heartbroken pair met and exchanged a tight hug at the 2013 VMAs. Is there anyone better suited to lend a verse about the sadness you feel after a lost friendship than Drizzy himself? This is a match made in tear-soaked heaven.

The schoolyard-chant beat of “Bad Blood” could use a spunky vocalist like Gwen Stefani. For Stefani, whose recent comeback efforts have been less than successful, a return to “Hollaback Girl” form would be exactly what she needs.

If “Bad Blood” is about your worst enemy, then Swift should gather her best friends for backup. Over the past year, the Haim sisters have gone on a bunch of vacations with Swift and emerged as a main branch of her coven. Although the sisters are scheduled to be the opening act for Swift's 1989 tour, they still haven’t released any music together. A “Bad Blood” remix could be the best opportunity to take their friendship to the next level.

If Taylor Swift really wants to blow the lid off her summer single, she’ll have Katy Perry lend her voice to “Bad Blood.” Surely, there’s still some “mad love” there.
