Opening Gucci is one way for a model to begin her career on a high note, and Polish newcomer Kasia Oskard now has all eyes on her. Oskard’s dramatic features set her apart from the baby faces typically spotted at Gucci, and given that the show’s openers typically carry over to the label’s campaigns and advertising, we’re bound to see plenty of Oskard in the near future.

Lily Nova has a face fit for a Renaissance painting and an adorable demeanor to go with it. Spotted by scouts while she was attending a show at Adelaide Fashion Festival with her mother, Nova came full circle today when she made her Gucci debut. A fan of fellow Aussies like Gemma Ward and Miranda Kerr—who she cites as a role model—Nova could be the next Australian catwalker to watch.

Gucci’s key beauty moment belonged to Mical Bockru, whose retro waves had editors talking. Given her elegant features and refined presence on the catwalk it’s easy to see why they were smitten. The Canadian newcomer got her start last year at buzzy shows like Marques ‘ Almeida, but 2016 has pushed her into the stratosphere with appearances at Carolina Herrera, Marc Jacobs, and now Gucci.

Who doesn’t love a Nietzsche-quoting, art history–loving Belgian model? At 24, Ellen de Weer is a woman rather than a girl and she brought a refreshing energy to Gucci’s catwalk. With her dark eyes, blunt bangs, and high cheekbones, de Weer channeled a retro vibe similar to that of Irina Lazareanu or Audrey Marnay.
