Guests Took a Trip to Tuscany Last Night Through a Private Dinner Hosted by Castello Di Vicarello and Chef Andy Baraghani

On Thursday night in Soho, Neri and Brando Baccheschi Berti, owners of the luxury castle hotel Castello Di Vicarello, hosted an intimate cocktail and dinner party at a private residence in the Tadao Ando building off Elizabeth Street. The stylish group of guests—hailing from the worlds of design, travel, and art—gathered to toast the brothers and sip on Tuscan wines that were brought in from the property’s vineyards. The red wines were paired with a delicious Italian feast prepared by chef Andy Baraghani. Inspired by the recipes passed down from Neri’s and Brando’s mother, the menu included late summer tomatoes bursting with an Italian chili crisp, salami with shaved radishes and a squeeze of lemon, fresh fennel and celery salad, roasted potatoes, and a strip steak with aioli and mustard.

Other notable guests included Beverly Nguyen, Chloe Wise, Kate Berry, Giancarlo Valle, Jane Keltner de Valle, Waris Ahluwalia, Lynn Yaeger, Haans Nicholas Mott, Isabelle Wilkinson, Kyle Hotchkiss, Carone Marisa Competello, and more.

Castello Di Vicarello is a 12th-century castle nestled in the untouched region of Maremma, Tuscany. Bought by the brother’s parents in the 1970s, the luxury castle hotel, which opened its doors after years of development in 2003, is fully family-run. Neri runs the day-to-day hospitality operation and Brando handles all things wine. Despite summer travel officially being behind them, in just a few sips and bites, the night transported guests to Tuscany.
