At the spring 2026 collectsions last September and October, runway fantasies like bows and face paint seeped right off the runways and into the streets. In contrast, the new fall season was all about real-world inspirations.
Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, a forever fashion icon, is being re-immortalized through Ryan Murphy’s Love Story. We have CBK—and the actor, Sarah Pidgeon, who plays her—to thank for the minimalist, tonal looks we saw everywhere this month. Celine-isms were another frequent sight. The American designer Michael Rider has turned the brand into an inspiration factory. If you saw a street styler (or several) wearing a scarf around their shoulders, chances are they were heading to the Celine show or simply influenced by Rider’s debut last June.
It was a furry season—in more ways than one. Shaggy textures brought some ASMR to show dressing, and we do wonder if the popularity of Dogue has had something to do with the increase of canine style makers. Leopard was the print of the moment, with bold coats doing the circuit. In Paris, show locations were as crazy as ever. Attending both Stella McCartney and Acne Studios required an hour’s drive through rush-hour traffic, unless you had a Lime bike.
Below, scroll through for the 12 best street style trends from the fall 2026 shows.
